Swire Coca-Cola is the platinum sponsor for the City's fourth annual Juneteenth Celebration, to be held on Wednesday, June 19, 5-7 pm at Town Center Park.
This free event is being planned and executed by the City’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. The event theme is Freedom to Create & Contribute, and features a keynote by Kimberly Howard Wade, the executive director of Caldera Arts, which empowers and inspires at-risk youth through art, environment, and mentoring. The organization also supports creatives and cultural workers as they seek to build skills and relationships to further their efforts.
Join us for free family-friendly activities and fun. Food from Cafe Yumm will be served (while supplies last). KMHD’s Bryson Wallace will be spinning music, and several community partners are joining us to engage and connect with event guests.
The City of Wilsonville's Juneteenth Celebration is made possible through the generous support of local sponsors, including Swire Coca-Cola, Hilton Garden Inn, Oregon Institute of Technology, and Columbia Distributing.
What to Expect:
This outdoor event takes place at Town Cernter Park. Remarks are expected to take place between 5:15 and 5:45 pm. Most activities take place on concrete; a few activities may be in grassed areas. The park's water feature will be in operation except during remarks. Activities, including coloring and yard games, are offered throughout the event. Community organizations and generous event sponsors (Platinum Sponsor: Swire Coca Cola, Silver Sponsors: Columbia Distributing, Hilton Garden Inn Portland Wilsonville, and Oregon Institute of Technology) may provide giveaway items and promotional materials.
Food from Cafe Yumm and any other giveaway items are available only while supplies last.
The park has restrooms and limited parking. Additional parking is located at City Hall (29799 SW Town Center Loop). Music and speeches use amplified sound.
