Project Background
Funded by ratepayers in Beaverton and Hillsboro to meet future demand, the Willamette Water Supply Program is a suite of projects to develop one of Oregon’s most seismically-resilient water systems with water sourced from the Willamette River's intake in Wilsonville. The project, which includes more than 30-miles of underground pipeline a new treatment plant and storage facilities, is scheduled to be complete by 2026.
Through its participation in this inter-governmental agreement, the City of Wilsonville is to receive more than $17 million in benefits, including seismic upgrades completed at the Water Treatment Plant and several right-of-way enhancement projects that are being performed in conjunction with pipeline installation.
