Friends of Trees Planting Event *Volunteers Needed*

Let's plant trees together! With non-profit Friends of Trees, the City is planting residential street trees. Dozens of large (6-10' tall) trees will be ready for planting in their new homes, and your help makes this community planting possible!

Please arrive by 8:45am to sign-in and be assigned a planting crew. The planting starts at 9am. Gloves, tools, and guidance are provided. Just dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes/boots you don't mind getting dirty, and be ready to have fun!

How do I register? Fill out this short registration form. Individuals and groups welcome! Please note that larger groups are split up into 3-5 people per planting crew.

Have a pickup truck? We need your help getting these young trees to their planting sites a few blocks away from the central staging site. Please sign up at www.friendsoftrees.org/truck if you're able to help us out in this key role. 

Under age 18? We request that youth 15 and under volunteer with a parent/guardian.  Youth 16 and older can volunteer on their own and will need to hand us a youth waiver form signed by their parent/guardian.

Private transportation: To travel from the meeting location to multiple planting sites in Wilsonville (up to several miles), private transportation (bike or vehicle) is recommended. If this is a barrier to your participation, please let us know.

What about Covid-19? The safety of volunteers and staff is the number one priority. Participants must be fully-vaccinated (with the exception of those younger than 12and anyone severely immunocompromised and not eligible for the vaccine), bring and wear a face mask through the event introductions, respect 6' or more of distance from others not in their own household, bring a water bottle and any other snacks or beverages you will need, and cancel if anyone in your household feels unwell within two weeks of this event.
