Survey Work, Geotech Drilling in Water Treatment Plant Park during November-December

During the months of November and December, contractors are scheduled to conduct survey work and geotechnical drilling during weekday daylight hours in the City of Wilsonville’s Willamette River Water Treatment Plant Park, 10350 SW Arrowhead Creek Lane. Activities are planned for Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.; no work is scheduled on national or school holidays, such as Veterans Day and Thanksgiving.

Park visitors may notice drill rigs on the grounds, in the parking area and along segments of the Ice Age Tonquin Trail. While there may also be occasional blocked access to the pathway, the park remains open to the public for use; however, for safety reasons, park users are requested to stay away from equipment and related hazards that are clearly marked.

The City of Wilsonville is working jointly with the Tualatin Valley Water District (TVWD) and the City of Hillsboro on design for the Willamette Water Supply Program (WWSP) to improve water-related infrastructure around the Willamette River and construct a 30-mile-long pipeline from Wilsonville to Hillsboro and Beaverton. When completed in 2026, this new system will be one of Oregon’s most seismically-resilient drinking water systems—built to better withstand natural disasters, protect public health and provide a stable water supply for present and future generations. TVWD and the City of Hillsboro ratepayers are paying for this project.

The survey and geotechnical drilling work is part of WWSP activities to plan for future water facility improvements. WWSP staff are conducting outreach efforts with residents of the adjacent Morey’s Landing neighborhood, including sending a mailing to each household and presenting at the November homeowners association meeting.
