June is Pride Month, commemorating a legacy of resilience and progress. In 1999, President Bill Clinton marked the anniversary of the Stonewall riots as Gay and Lesbian Pride Month, a declaration later expanded by President Barack Obama in 2011 to include the full spectrum of the LGBTQIA+ community.

'Pride' embodies solidarity, collective identity, and resistance to discrimination and violence.
