Learn-to-Ride Bike Clinic
Calendar Date:
It’s never too early (or too late!) to learn to ride a bicycle. It’s easy, it’s fun, it’s a skill that will last a lifetime, and it's good for the environment.
SMART's Learn-to-Ride Bike Clinics are for kids, teens, and adults who have never ridden a bike before or who are returning to cycling after an extended period.
The bike clinics provide an effective, low-stress way to learn balance, steering, pedaling, and controlled stopping/braking which produces independence and confidence. Participants learn to ride in a non-traffic environment and receive safety education and support to encourage biking to school and around Wilsonville.
- Clinics are limited to five students at a time.
- Each adult may register no more than two students (must be at least 5 years old).
- The presence of an adult with a registered child is required.
- Clinics are held at the Wilsonville Transit Center and/or Wilsonville schools (children do not need to be a student of that school).
- Participants must bring a fitted helmet and properly sized bike with pedals and training wheels removed.
- Participants should be able to sit on the seat with their feet flat on the ground.
- The cost to attend a clinic is FREE.
