People Who Ride SMART

Every year in the late summer SMART conducts an on-board passenger survey over a four-day period to gather information about riders and improve service.

In 2017, the first rider survey was conducted with a total of 449 surveys collected.

In 2018, SMART collected 456 surveys in total.

In 2019, SMART  conduct its first Satisfaction Survey. Survey type will rotate each year between a Satisfaction Survey and Demographic/Travel Trend Survey.

In 2022, SMART collected 228 surveys in total.

In 2024, SMART collected 199 survey for the Rider Demographic Survey.

In 2025, SMART collected 201 surveys in total for our Rider Satisfaction Survey.
