Library Welcomes You Back

welcome sign

UPDATED 9/04/2020

We are pleased to welcome you back to the Wilsonville Library starting Tuesday, June 23. We are following public health guidance from the Oregon Health Authority, the Governor’s office, and Wilsonville’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC).

Please note the following new safety measures we are adopting to protect visitors and Library staff:

  • Masks. Facial coverings are required and must be worn all times while in the library, except for children under the age of five. Your commitment to helping us limit transmission of COVID-19 may help us resume additional services more quickly.
  • Reduced Capacity. No more than 25 people, including staff, can be in the library at any time. We are happy to see you - briefly! – and ask that you complete your errand quickly and exit the building so others may visit. We are happy to provide assistance to help expedite your visit.
  • Physical Distancing. Library staff will maintain a physical distance of six feet or more from visitors. We ask that you do the same. Let’s stay apart, together.
  • Quarantined Items. Following national library guidelines on the handling of materials, Clackamas County libraries are quarantining all returned items for a 5-day period before they are restocked and made available for checkout.
  • Continuous cleaning. Library surfaces and equipment are being disinfected by staff throughout the day.
  • Hand sanitizer station. Please sanitize your hands when entering the Library and try to minimize the number of items you touch.
  • Service Desk Shields. We are using acrylic barriers at each of our service desks.

*Staff wearing PPE: Staff are wearing masks when handling library materials to minimize points of contact with books and other items.

Available Services

Initially, upon re-opening the facility, we are only offering a limited number of services. As time goes on and we can safely introduce additional services, we will.

Services available as of June 23:

  • Pick-up and check-out of items placed on hold - If you are unable to come into our building to pick up holds call us at 503-682-2744 to find out about Wednesday curbside holds pick-up.
  • Placing items on hold
  • Obtaining a library card
    • Get a Library Card. Be prepared to show your driver’s license with your current address or additional proof of address (such as a piece of mail or bill).
    • Get a Library eCard: To get immediate access to eBooks, eAudiobooks and electronic databases, use your LINCC library card. Clackamas County residents who don't have a library card can sign up for an eCard at www.lincc.org.
  • Staff assistance. Our staff is available to answer your questions in person (briefly), by phone, 503-682-2744, or by email: reference@wilsonvillelibrary.org

All other services – including computers, copiers, and meeting rooms – are unavailable at this time and will be phased in when we can provide them safely.

Our wi-fi typically extends beyond Library walls! The best signal is found from the parking lot on the east side of the building.

Library Hours

Initially, we are providing public entry to the library for a limited number of hours, five days a week.

  • Tuesday, Thursday-Saturday: 10am-4pm
  • Wednesday: 2-8pm
  • Sunday and Monday: closed to public

Please Remember

We’re all figuring this out together! Thank you for your cooperation, and remember that kindness and patience create a safe environment for all. If there’s something you don’t understand, or that isn’t working, let us know.

Minimizing contact with others is helping everyone. Let’s continue to keep our community safe from the threat of COVID-19 by isolating, physical distancing and washing and sanitizing your hands frequently.

Return your Library items outside. Use the outside book drop or the drive-thru drop.

Don’t worry about fines at this time. No fines have accrued on materials due during the public closure. Clackamas County libraries have raised fine limits and will be collecting fines at a later date. You should still be able to check out items if money is owed.

Use our self-checkout machines. There are three machines available for you to use. Unfortunately, our staff will not be able to provide date stamps.

We’re here, and happy to help. Questions or concerns? Please let us know (in person, by phone, or by email). We will do our best to accommodate your needs.
